The owners, based in Canberra, purchased this amazing older style cottage in the year 2020 and planning to use it as their holiday escape. The existing cottage needed a lot of work and the owners took on this job themselves but needed guidance to design a kitchen that compliments the new interiors.

The house is situated on the top of the hill with a stunning view Malua bay, a small picturesque coastal town on the NSW South Coast.

The brief was to design a functional lay-out with a small island bench overlooking the ocean.

When it came to select the colours for the kitchen cabinets, we played with several natural cabinet finishes but at the end the owners decided for the colour white to keep in simple, with a stainless steel bench-top and a timber top on the island bench.
